The Red-Bellied Woodpecker has such a distinctive chirp that I think I could recognize it anywhere. (Most other birds are more difficult to identify by sound alone.) What's with making the birdie wait for food? !!!!
The mom places them on a branch in the tree and makes them wait so they are safe! She flies up to feed them.
