Thank you for the votes. I must say that I'm surprised that the votes jumped from 71 to 136 last night...(???) I've been away for almost a week and I've been quite busy recently (that's why I haven't been posting much here) and haven't even try to advertise Shakti's movie so it surprised me that suddenly her movie got so many votes with no feedback or comments (???) ...

To all who vote for Shakti's movie: could you please leave a short comment so we know who's voting for us? We always like to be able to say "thank you" to each person who votes for our fuzzy girl and if you're annonymous we can't do that... Thank you! Thank you! :) Shakti's a very smart dog, but I must say that the smarter the dog the more they need training, rules, limitations, etc. Otherwise she'd be training us and that kind of thing wouldn't be too "healthy" for either of us... :) Thanks again for the kind words! :)

LOL - Yeah - Shakti's pretty vocal so we worked on that to challenge her a little bit more and encourage her to be more precise about making the particular sounds. :) She can't say "THANK YOU" (at least not yet LOL :)), but she's sending you big tail wagging and lots of kisses! :)

Thanks you! :) That's a prove that practice makes perfect! LOL :) Dogs don't use their voices or mouths or tongues like us humans so it's pretty hard for them to make things sound perfect. Just think about a letter "L" - when you pronounce "L" your tongue needs to curl up a bit and touch the roof of your mouth...It's a hard trick for a dog to do because they just don't use their tongues like that....LOL :) It's not a natural skill at all. Barking, howling, vovalizing is natural, but actually pronouncing human words and sounds is a very difficult thing to do for a dog. Shakti's showing how the sounds progressed to sounding (almost) like our human "hello".

Thank you SO much! That's very nice of you to say that! Right now we're 2nd, but that's ok...Besides saying "hello" Shakti knows probably about 70-80 (or more...we can't keep up with that anymore because she's constantly learning new skills :) LOL) commands, phrases, etc. We just chose the "hello" trick for the contest...

To us she's already the most amazing dog even if she doesn't win this contest...We do appreciate all the votes from our friends and Shakti's fans and supporters! She says "hello" to you all and sending kisses your way! :)

So may the most skillful and amazing dog wins this ontest and can inspire us all! :)

I watched(listened) to this video over and over.I had to stop because my cats started pawing at the monitor and my dog wouldn't stop barking.I guess they all wanted in on a 'conversation'.AMAZING!

Mews, Diz be SP. I am a kitty in Purrginia. Normally I dont waste my time with doggies but Shakti is such a wonderpurr doggie I had to write and say dat she is a marvelous doggie and I am glad to hear her say hello. She must be a furrry intelligent doggie too. I hope Shakti will catinue to talk and be such a delight to hear and see..she is such a bootifur doggie too.

Thank you for your nice comment! We're glad you like Shakti's talking trick. :) We noticed when she was a young puppy that she was pretty vocal and we encouraged her to repeat some things. Now she says "hello" to us when we say that to her and also says "hello" to a hand signal. It's a hard trick to make it sound perfect every time. Sometimes it's so good that we could teach her to answer the phone! :) Shakti says "hello" to us when we get up in the morning and when we come back home. :) She's saying "H-E-L-L-O-O-O-O" to all her friends, fans and people who vote for her! :) THANK you so much everybody! You're absolutely PAWESOME! :)
