SICHUAN PROVINCE, China -- Even as aftershocks still rattled the country, volunteers from Animals Asia Foundation rushed to earthquake damaged areas helping the displaced animals.
The March 12 quake killed 70,000 people and 12.5 million farm animals. Hong Kong-based AAF created a shelter to temporarily house 120 dogs and five cats until their owners get back on their feet.
