Pros: Wonderful staff and very affordable
Cons: A bit of a drive
I can't say enough good things about this place! When my dog was diagnosed with cancer in his front leg, every vet I talked to wanted to charge me close to $9,000 to amputate his leg. Or they wanted me to dish out thousands more to put him through kimo, that may or may not work. Obviously, I was devastated, not only because I couldn't afford it but also I felt that the vets I was speaking to didn't really care about my dog, they just wanted my money. It seemed that putting my dog down was the only option that I could afford.
Luckily, I was referred to Animal Medical Hospital by a friend who took his cats there. When I took my dog in, I could tell immediately that this staff cared. They gave me a quote for the operation that was WAY lower than the other vets. They even offered me a payment plan because they knew that I couldn't pay the full amount all at once. They did everything they could to help me and my dog.
I'm happy to say that the operation was successful, and the doctor (who I believe is the owner) pulled me aside to thank me for giving my dog a chance...he even started to cry a little. How many of you can say that about your vet?
They are now my regular vet, and I don't mind driving out of my way to go there.
