Review Details

I recently brought my dog in on a Sunday evening for a toenail that wouldn't stop bleeding. On top of the $90 fee just to walk in the door they charged me a $49 bandaging fee to wrap some vetwrap on the nail after they cut it off! Add to that the $39 prescription that I later found out I could have had filled for about $10 at a pharmacy, and you'll see why it's frustrating.

While I understand that emergency care costs more, this was ridiculous!

You have to ask yourself at what price are you willing to pay to help your pet? Veterinary services are not cheap, but you must have known this before getting one.

They quote you an emergency price of the phone. the prices are set by your vet and the board of vets. You pay to have the vet and staff on hand in case of your pet having an emergency. Considering what you would pay at a university emergency dept, I would consider us lucky

Broken toenail is not an emergency.
