Review Details
I have quite the zoo at my house and this facility has been able to handle everything I have brought to them. Not only do I feel I am getting quality care for my animals, I also feel that they take the time to make sure I am ok with treatment and the diagnosis.
As for routine care, you will not find any better. The secretarys are friendly, caring and if they can not answer your question, they will put you in contact with someone who can. The Vet Tech's are all quality people who make you and your pet feel comfortable while doing the pre exam. If someone is not able to answer your question, one of the veterinarians call you back in a reasonable amount of time.
Every vet at this pratice is knowledgeable and personable. I rarely ask who my appointment is with because I know that the care with each vet is above average. Most problems can be handled right on site. If not they have the ability to network with specialists via the internet or refer you to other clinics within driving distance.
To give you and idea of the quality of care we have received I will give you an idea of the help they have gave our family. Recently we have had a very bad time. Our 6 year old male has had kidney problems and deteriorated very fast. He needed IV fluids for 3 days. Each day they let me pick him up and bring him home so that we all were more comfortable. The fact that I could bring our cat home meant a lot to our family, and to him I think. Even if he gets the worst diagnosis I know he will be in the best of hands. A week later our 5 year old female was diagnosed with lymophoma cancer. They gave me every option possible for treatment with an execllent discription of the disease and prognosis. When it was her time to go, I could not have asked for a more caring and compassionate group of people. I have seen euthanasia preformed on several of my other pets and nothing compared to this. Now we are faced with another devastating
diagnosis. Our other 6 year old male has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and asthma. They quickly stabilized him, sent xrays out to confirm his diagnosis, and went through his treatment plan. I know our time together is not as long as I would like. But, I know that I feel comfortable knowing that we are in the care of these qualified, caring people. I can not say enough good things about them.

I just wanted to add that yesterday on our way to Syracuse I saw a young Red Tailed Hawlk on the side of the road. I turned around to take a photo of him and noticed he had a broken wing. I called North Country and within a few minutes their vet tech on call reached me. We met and were able to find and catch the hawlk. I know that he will have the best of care with them!
