Animal Emergency And Trauma Center

Why is it that pets chose off hours to get sick or hurt? When our pets need help and our normal vet is closed we are forced to take them to Animal Emergency And Trauma Center
of Poulsbo. The staff is always nice and friendly they are also knowlagable. What I don't like is the bill, way to high.

Pros: The were open when no other place was

Cons: the peice was very very high.

My two dealings with this place.
Injured dog: they did not want to give the dog pain meds or help it until an owner was contacted. Wanted Animal Control to immediately remove the dog so they didn't have to board it, even though it
had a microchip and was serverly injured by a car.

Second: Called animal control for a pick up of a german short hair (trained expensive dog). Animal control called the out-of-state phone number on the dog's tag and contacted the owner who had been missing the dog for 2 days and who worked only 5 minutes away from the Vet's. The vet office did not even try to make a phone call. (out of state)

Pros: Open 24 hours

Cons: Expensive
