One of the best Veterinarian Hospitals around

posted 7 years ago

This is a state of the art facility featuring 10 wonderful veterinarians. The owner, Dr. Donald McCoy is one of thee most compassionate and experienced vets in the business. He bought this business back in 1972 and it has grown into a quality hospital for all animals (birds, reptiles, snakes, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, you name it). I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. They are not afraid to do referrals to specialists if a animal has an illness that is beyond their scope. They, also, have a great website which even shows a 'hospital tour', veterinarian profiles, the health care team, news & events, etc, etc.

"We have been part of the North Portland community for over 35 years. We feel blessed and fortunate to care for 2nd and 3rd generation families that trust us to provide and care for their pets. We have a diverse clientele and we cherish these friendships. Our practice continues to grow by word of mouth referrals. We welcome you to our hospital."

"Our Mission:

Our staff believes in the relationship between you and your pet. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality medicine in a compassionate and caring way. We stress client education and preventative medicine. We achieve this by using state of the art equipment and by encouraging personal and professional growth."

"We believe good communication is important. Our doctors will listen closely to your concerns and questions and take the time to explain what’s happening and what should be done. We will work together with you to reach a final decision and treatment plan. We have an open door policy – we’ll take you anywhere in the hospital to show you what we can do and what’s happening to your pet. You’re invited to watch us bandage your pet’s hurt paw, draw blood to run some blood tests, clean your pet’s teeth, visit your sick, hospitalized pet, or scan your pet’s abdomen with an ultrasound. We want you to feel comfortable and informed about your pet’s condition and needed treatments. Your peace of mind is important to us."

North Portland Veterinary Hospital is pleased to announce their new Online Pharmacy, where ordering prescriptions just got that much easier:

Online Prescriptions

We're excited to announce we now have an online pharmacy in addition to our hospital pharmacy. You can enjoy the convenience of free home delivery. Our partnership with Vetcentric pharmacy has made this option possible. Click on this link to go to your medicine cabinet.

Prescription Refills

We have two options for you to make prescription refills fast, easy, and convenient:

You can call our pharmacy refill line 503.285.2858 and leave a brief message. Our doctor's assistants check this voicemail box several times throughout the day. Once we receive a refill request, we check to see if refills have been previously approved or we ask the doctor if it's okay to refill. We then call you back within 24 hours with an update.
You can also order a refill through our online pharmacy.
