My big Yorkie girl had an enlarged heart and she was a patient at Sonora for 1 1/2 years. What a wonderful place Sonora is...not only for the gentle and knowledgeable care they give our pets, but for the comfort and care they also extend to us who wait.
I took my Lovey yesterday to be given up to her creator and they were so good to me! And so loving to my girl. I came away feeling that she had been loved by everyone right up to the very last minute.
Each time I took her to Sonora, the doctors, techs and I honestly discussed her condition and what help we could give that would help her but not be an heroic measure. Quality of life was always an issue. The doctors were always honest with me and I could call any hour or the night or day to talk to a vet if I was concerned about what was happening with my Lovey.
Lovey was a happy little yorkie right up until the moment of her death...and I thank these people with all my heart for extending her life until it was no longer possible for her to enjoy living, but became a burden for her.
Thank you again, each one of you at Sonora, for loving her and caring for me at the same time. I can never tell you what this experience has meant to me and to many others who have been there with their little friends.
My very highest recommendation to all those working at Sonora!
Pros: What a wonderful hospital!
Cons: Not one negative word do I have.
