I wouldn't take someone I hated to this veterinary clinic
posted 5 years ago
I took our beloved Miniature Chihuahua (Chico) in to West Plains Veterinary Clinic after hours one day approx two years ago. The vet dr. Geoff met us there. I had to pay the BIG vet bill for me to have to assist the vet in the c-section, me and my approx 11yo son had to revive all the puppies, then I had to assist the vet in reviving our beloved Chico when he killed her on the operating table. I noticed when he was giving her the anistetic when she wouldn't go to sleep right away he just kept giving her more and more and more. Then once we had delivered all the puppies and he was stitching her back up I noticed she wasen't breathing and I told him I don't think she is breathing and he checked her and said I think your right and he started chest compressions and told me to continue the chest compressions while he went and got something for her, when he came back he had a handful of syrenges and when I asked him what they were for he said it is a counteractant to the anistetic that he had given her too much anistetic. To top it all off right after we got to the operating room he got a phone call from a buddy of his and they were talking about going fishing on a boat the next day. I guess that is why he was in such a big hurry that he didn't care about our Chico and her puppies and wheather or not they made it or not. Please be cautious when screening your vets for your beloved pets. Ask the Vets questions (they won't mind), ask around and make sure you have choosen a good vet who really cares about your pets as much as you do and not just about the money they are gonna make off you. I learned my lesson trust me, Our Chico made it but will never be the same. We lost all four puppies. RIP
Pros: close to my house
Cons: They don't care about your pets they only care about the money and they get in a big hurry and kill your pets on the operating table
