When we adopted 3 old horses, Dr. Groah recognized that we wanted to provide adequate care but could not afford to treat them like $50,000 show horses. He worked with us to provide good care at a reasonable price. He also has gone out of his way to make up for the distance between his office and our farm.

He also charges reasonable prices for treating our small animals--dogs and cats, unlike the town vets around here who seem to think they are practicing (and charging for)human medicine.

There are so few vets left who are willing to make farm calls and to treat large farm livestock. We are very thankful for Dr. Groah.

Pros: Dr. Groah gives pet owners credit for having a brain and is willing to work with us, not dictate to us what needs done

Cons: He lives too far away and we have a sizeable farm call travel charge for each visit
