I used Dr John when he was with another practice a couple of years ago now. I started out really enjoying his work but towards the end of his relationship I think was going too overboard in his dealings with my pups. An otherwise healthy dog, who to this day in 6 years has had only two non check up visits, he wanted to start on all this medication to address her immune issues. She has none. Good for the routine but he went overboard in one case and may have resulted in the early death of another one of my pets by not prescribing sufficient heart medication due to long term side effects, she would not have lived long enough to have had it matter.

Pros: Knowledgable to a fault

Cons: Too intense in dealing with issues
