Banfield the Pet Hospital

I visited the facility at Hilliard. They are franchised so I am thinking they all run this way. It was close and they were open. The Vet was cordial enough but the 'dog nurse' that was assigned to me was very, very, very money motiviated. All she kept going over was how much what would cost. My animal was hurt and needed immediate care. I didn't care what the cost was. To make a long story short, she needed casting for an ACL injury, not doggie dope to keep her quiet. I had to leave her for her x-rays and when I came back, was very surprised not to find her in any kind of cast or splint. The 'dog nurse' told me that cost was already taken off of the bill and-well, that's just the way it is. Not being satisfied I asked to speak again to the vet, which I was able to. She then stated she didn't feel the need to immobilize it and to just keep her quiet. I tell you, any one that has boxers, how easy is it to keep them quiet? I did end up taking her to MedVet (where she was casted) and loved them. Banfield even gave me static over releasing her records and xrays when I went in to request them. They wanted the other vet to request them and there is a fee,, (surprise???) I did end up leaving with info in hand and will NEVER honor this establisment again.

Pros: Open when I needed them (the only reason I went there)

Cons: Very money motivated, uncaring staff, lack of professionalism

I really like Banfield. Everyone is great and they take great care of my pets. The health plan they have helps a lot with costs and to remind me to take the zoo to the vet! I recommend them to everyone getting a new pet!

Cons: It's at Easton (an outdoor, busy mall)
