Terrible experience

posted 3 years ago

I have been Harding my two Bowton Terriers here for two years with no issues. Last week I boarded them for three days and when I returned my one dog was limping. They did nt mention is and I only noticed as I was walking her to the car. I went back inside and was told that they knew and that she had been jumping a lot with the dog in the run next to hers. I mentioned that they could have moved her to my other dogs run so that there wouldn't have been an issue and the girl that took care of the boarding just shrugged. The vet, Dr. Douglas, examined her on the floor of the waiting room and I was told she had a muscle spasm and given pain pills for three days. When I called a week later, trying to be patient and let her heal, I was told Dr Douglas would return my call and she never did. I called again the next day and the receptionist apologized and said they and been busy and I said I understood and hoped I would get a call back that day. The office manager eventually came to the phone and asked if I could bring my dog in but I work 15 miles away and was unable to get away for over an hour to get her there. She said to bring her in Monday after fasting and to stop by and get more pain medication for the weekend. I did. When I called at 11 am to see if she had been examined, I offered to pay so that she could have some food and water. The bet came to the phone and told me she had been examined and it wasn't her leg, but her back, and that it had been going on for awhile and just inflamed by her jumping while there boarding. I was also to.d my dog was aggressive and barked at dogs when they were fought by her run and that she was no longer welcome there to be boarded. After two years!!!!! You would think they would have noticed this behavior before. She is a very sweet dog and has never exhibited any ages site behavior and when she goes to dog parks just wants to play with all of the other dogs. I am concerned there is something wrong with my dog that happened who.e she was boarding and they are hoping to get rid of me. I now feel that I have to take my dog to my vet and get her examined and pay for more X-rays (which I do not even know if they really did) to make sure she is alright. Very disheartening. Dr Mountain has been out of town for a long time and I feel the quality of care has gone terribly downhill. I have been completely disrespected.

Pros: Dr Mountain

Cons: Dog hurt while boarding and no concern shown and deflected blame

Tim Mountain - vet

posted 7 years ago

Tim Mountain was our vet for several dogs and cats. He did a good job taking care of them, and was always pleasant and helpful when we brought them in. His staff was helpful and organized. The office was clean and attractive. His office was close to where we lived, which was handy in an emergency.

Pros: Cares about the animals and owners

Cons: Lost a couple of pets during surgery
