Raeford Animal Clinic

I took Bruiser to have double cherry eye surgery in February '08 the charges were near $500. The week after follow-up his eyes looked good. But, the 2nd week the stitches disolved and the cherry eye popped back out on one side and was actually bleeding when my daughter took him back for an emergency visit. She was charged $60 for a distemper shot, some trioptic salve and told to bring him back 8am the following monday. I took him back withholding food fully expecting Dr. Speier to redo the surgery. When I got there she gave me a referal to NC specialty Vet Hospital in Cary. with no mention of returning some of the charges to apply toward the fees of the specialist she was sending us to. I know that veterinary doctors are not culpable in the way human doctors are, but if they were I would file a malpractice lawsuit. I would not recommend Raeford Animal Clinic to anyone for any reason.

Pros: Kind assisting staff

Cons: Jill Speier is the worst DVM I have ever met

Nice place, but my rottweiler will not pee in her pen when she has to stay at the vet.. and so she always comes home with an infection because she isn't let out enough.

Pros: People are always nice.

Cons: Don't let the dogs out enough.
