Banfield Pet Hospital

I interviewed for a job at the Arden location recently so I got to go behind the scenes. Being a corporate chain, there are strict standards to meet in every situation. There's a huge windowso you can see everything that goes on, especially surguries! And, they use the same anesthesia for pets as people. You can't argue pricing but they have special plans for a monthly fee that might save a lot of money in the long run.

Pros: satisfaction guaranteed (pretty much)

Cons: pricey

Sometimes I think that Banfield gets a bad reputation, but both of our dogs and soon our third will recieve all thier care from this Banfield location and we absolutely love our experience. We thought that we might initially be sacrificing the personal care of an independent vet in exchange for the efficiency of a veterinary chain, but were quickly and pleasantly surprised by the personal level of care and concern for our pets. Further, our pets are on the Wellness Plans offered through Banfield and have found these plans to be a great benefit -not only for their health, but also our bank account.

The answer questions over the phone and are patient with the most neurotic of owners.

Pros: Wonderful staff from techs to vets

Cons: The veterinary staff changes occassionally, but all vets are knowledgeable and friendly
