Ridgewood Animal Hospital

I have been bringing my pets to Ridgewood Animal Hospital since the late '80's. Dr. Steve and his staff have seen me through 4 cats and three dogs.
When it was time to put my dog Sam down, Dr. Sally came to my house to administer the dose because Sammy didn't like going to the vet's office.
The dog I had after Sam, Hailey, had a clotting disorder we didn't know about until it was too late. She died after being spayed. Dr. Sally was as upset about it as I was. Even though it was not her fault, Dr. Steve told me that when I was ready to get another puppy, Ridgewood would reimburse me the cost of the puppy. When I got Nikki, he was true to his word and paid us what we had paid for her.
I call Nikki my "million dollar dog" because she's had one total knee replacement, knee repair surgery on the other knee and takes countless shots and meds to keep her pain level low.
The staff at Ridgewood has been so helpful to me all these years. They have cried with me when I've had to say goodbye to my animals and provided all my pets with superior care.
I have recommended Ridgewood to many of my friends who have also had very positive experiences as a result.

Pros: Great animal care & good bedside manner

Cons: Too close to Jefferson Forest HS - a nightmare if you go around 3:30 p.m.

The people I know who have gone here were highly satisfied with the care & service. The only downside is the price-it is a little expensive. Anything in the Forest/Perrowville Rd area is catering to a generally more affluent clientele & the prices tend to reflect that. However, I have not heard any complaints about the care the animals received, which is very important.
