Tim Rasnic is an acquired taste in the best of times. Some find his smart aleckness to be offensive others find it humorous. Still it indicates an underlying communication problem in general. He will seem almost vicious when talking to people if they have made mistakes or don't understand what he's talking about. He's even been routinely unkind to people who have their elderly pets there to be euthanized. While I do understand that his goal may be to educate people - doing it while their dog/cat is dying isn't likely effective - particularly not with that approach. He's relieved employees with 10 years tenure without even giving them a reason. If you are on his 'good list' as a plus, he will return your emergency call to his cell phone when he's not in the clinic... it doesn't bode as well if he doesn't like you.

While he's an exceptional vet in the area of technical knowledge and animal care (he clearly likes the animals more than the people but even then he can seem a bit rough in handling the pets sometimes) but his attitude compromises the overall care and communication so much as to make it nearly impossible at times.

Pros: exceptional care, responsive, good pricing, works with people regarding payment in emergency

Cons: attitude!
