Now that the office has moved to Cove, across the river, they have built a brand new complex on top of the hill behind the Susquenita schools. This facilty is amazing and wonderfully setup. It was easy to get to as well as friendly warm and inviting when I walked in and waited. The office staff were prompt and friendly. Their labrador walks around to greet and say goodbye to everyone that ventures in and out those doors. Theres a great selection of food, treats, flea and tick supplies, pictures of their patients, and informational packets on health issues and tips as well for pets of all kinds.
Dr. Schwartz was very nice and made a good first impression with me. He was compassionate and concerned for my cat and clearly wasn't overbearing on pushing services. He clearly presented me with the options, and uncertainties. And then gave me the prices for all of those. He tried to not make the decision for me while giving me as much information to make an informed decision as a mommy as I could. Two days later my kitty was still in liver failure, but I know they did a great job and perked him up briefly for a day. However his liver couldn't go any longer. We decided to put him to sleep so he would stop suffering.
They offered their sympathies and stood quietly and supportively until we were ready to have him put to sleep. Then, they took care of the details of arranging and explaining the different options for cremation or disposal depending upon preference and budget. We were never pressured or felt rushed at any time in any of the visits. They updated us daily on their status and never complained when I called a few other times each day to see how he was doing!!! Mommy going crazy~! :(
So far ... I am really impressed and will be taking my other pets there for the first time SOON!
Pros: Friendly Staff and Vet, great new facility, informative and upfront in presenting the possibilities and cost/benefit analysis, didn't give heavy pressure towards expensive procedures, let you decide what was best first.
Cons: So far... I am not finding any!
