Distance doesn't matter !

posted 4 years ago

An embarrassing number of decades ago we became fans of a young veterinarian, fresh out of school; George Myatich. Over that period I have seen him perform enough miracles that I drive almost an hour to his clinic. I cant imagine going anywhere else. He has diagnosed and treated effectively, problems that stumped other vets. In addition, he has managed to attract and KEEP exceptional doctors and staff; not a small feat. I am confortable with them all. Most recently, a friend and I had 2 cats, both with entropia (sp?), rolled eyelid. My friends vet told her to go to a specialist. I accompanied my friend and my jaw dropped at the cost. I consulted Dr. Myatich who suggested his partner Dr. Coke (sp?). For 1/4 of the cost he did my cat while my friend paid 4 x's as much at the specialist and my cat looks fabulous; he is every bit as perfect cosmetically and no one would know he had had surgery. In addition, another friend had a kitten with a urinary problem. Her vet could not cure the problem and painted a grim outlook, also recommending a specialist being out of options as far as antibiotics. As you can guess, Dr. Myatich was correct when he hypothesized a cause no other vet had discussed and offered several more treatment options. The kitten is perfectly healthy now. No, I would move closer lol if driving became a problem, before I'd switch vets :). Go there for problems big and small! You won't regret it!!!!

Pros: Gifted docs

Cons: None

Take Your Pets to Hidden Valley!

posted 7 years ago

I take my two pugs into Hidden Valley. I usually request one vet but have seen probably 4 different ones. Each of them have been wonderful. The vets take a few minutes to try to ease the dogs' discomfort and nerves by getting down to their level and petting and talking to them for a few minutes. I think it's wonderful that the vets take a few minutes out of their busy schedule to do this. That they would try to put a dog at ease like this just shows me that they truely do enjoy the animals and that they are in this business for the right reasons.

Pros: Friendly & knowledgable vets, timely appointments including the occassional times when you need to get your dog in the same day

Cons: The only con I can say about Hidden Valley is that one time I had an experience with a person at the front desk that really gave me attitude over something. I will say though that this is not the norm.

I was thinking about going here with my horse is it a nice place for a pony or are there too many dogs? Also, is the lake rocky or sandy?
