I waited forever for someone to see my vet. When we were finally called, it was clear that the vets were much like the residents people get in hospital emergency rooms -- new & inexperienced. After I paid a fortune, I took my cat to my regular vet the next day. He said the diagnosis from the night before was incorrect.
Pros: open 24/7
Cons: high cost, inexperience, long wait

I don't get doggy daycare. You can stand in Petsmart & watch the dogs in a room behind glass. Why would a dog want to hang out with strangers?
