Livonia Veterinary Hospital

When my dog came down with pancreatitis, my vet did not have emergency hours and recommended that I go to I go to Livonia Vet Hosp. I did and thought they were great..for awhile. Though Max didn't seem to get much better. When they sent him home I made an appointment for a follow up visit. Bought the VERY expensive dog food they insisted on, spent more on meds and maxed out my credit cards to pay for everything.

The next morning Max past away. After burying him, I called Livonia to let them know that Max didn't make it and by the way please cancel his upcoming appointment. Their reply was OK.

That was it, no I'm sorry for your loss. or- Did you open the bag of dog food and if not we can take it back. Screw them. My brother's dog got the food and I threw away the meds.

It's important for a vet to know what their doing. But I also put alot of weight on the bedside manner.

My cats go to Dansville Animal Hospital and my dog goes to York Vet Hospital. Love them both.

Pros: very clean

Cons: no bedside manner, very expensive

i have a senior dog and was practically accused by a staff member,who had NEVER met me before, of being cruel to my dog..who by the way RULES MY HOUSE!! always has and always WILL
