A professional, pet friendly practice!

posted 5 years ago

Everyone at DCAH from Dr. Canaan on down - vet techs, boarding & admin staff - have an abiding respect and genuine compassion for the animals and people they serve.

I've been with DCAH for two years and they just keep getting better. After ten years with my previous vet (Animal Hospital of Wappingers Falls) I began fostering rescue dogs for Metropolitan Maltese Rescue (www.malteserescue.com) and was told 'NO' when I inquired if they would discount services for rescue pets. I couldn't believe it! Since I was never impressed by their 'just-a-business' attitudee, this response sent me looking for a new vet.

A friend turned me on to Dr. Canaan's stellar reputation and, when I discovered she does discount for rescue animals, I decided to give her a try. And I never looked back!

In addition to my foster dogs, Dr. Canaan and the staff at DCAH care for (and board when I travel) my own three dogs and two cats. And even though her practice is booming, I never feel the pinch because the staff is very accommodating, especially in an emergency.

I encourage anyone in Dutchess County who's looking for a new vet to check out Dr. Canaan and DCAH. You'll be happy you did!

Pros: Professional, Compassionate, Accommodating - - and they really love animals!

Cons: DCAH needs more vets as word of mouth is growing this practice by leaps 8 bounds.
