Hudson Animal Hospital

I have taken several pets to the Hudson Animal Hospital. My son had an iguana and not all places can care for a reptile. The vet was knowledgeable about iguanas and you could tell that he really liked Igor. We have also had rabbits and now a dog. All of the staff are very caring. The vets all listen well and take time to discuss any issues.

I grew up in Hudson and my parents had always taken my pets to the Hudson Animal Hospital. My pet Paris died unexpectedly at the age of 3. When I dropped her off to have an autopsy I was greated by the rudest person at the desk. It was just days after Christmas when Paris died, and I was asked with a rude tone "Was it the tinsel on the Christmas tree?" We had gone on vaca for the holiday and did not have a tree that year. She then informed me that they would not be able to perform an autopsy because it had been a day since Paris had died and I didn't bring her in right away. Not only had I lost my beloved pet, I was retraumatized by this woman. On the other hand, Dr. Conti is amazing. Not only did he perform the autopsy, he called me as soon as he was finished to explain to me how she had died, and that she did not suffer. This woman was not a very compassionate person and should not be in this field. It's been a couple years since this happened, so hopefully this woman has left the Hospital
