Warren Animal Hospital

I just moved to Portsmouth and needed to find a vet for my new pup. I read a lot of reviews for local vets and the Warren Animal Hospital had the best reviews. The Mt Hope Animal Hospital (less than a mile from my house) had terrible reviews, so I decided to go with a sure thing even though it's about 10 minutes further away.

I was able to get an appointment the same day which was very convenient.

My first visit cost $75 and included shots and a checkup. I remember taking my cat to a vet when I lived in Boston and her first check up was $250 so this was refreshing.

We also got a bag of dogfood, a 3-month trial of Frontline, a months supply of Heartgard (one pill) and a tube of Advantage all for free. Pretty sweet.

The service wasn't all that personal ( a very quick visit ) and the way the office looks isn't anything to rave about, but I don't have any complaints. It was 4pm, close to the end of the day for them so I understand. There were a lot of other pets there so it seems like a popular place.

Pros: Shots were pretty cheap, lots of folks coming through, great reviews on the net

Cons: a little dirty (but hey, it's a vet) and impersonal
