I first began seeing Dr. Frost many years ago with Monty who was a healthy and wonderful dog who lived to be 14 years of age. When I adopted Dami I returned to the hospital. Dami was born with a bizarre and rare disease that required close monitoring and care. Dr Maketansky took over her care and went above and beyond for her and me. He consulted with so many others, Dami became quite well known. He treated her with kindness and compassion. He worked closely with Dr. Frost, who would cover in his absence. Between the two their were many weekends and holidays I received check phone calls from them to check her status. When Dami was in crisis they always found time for her, during office hours and after office hours. And I don't think I was the easiest pet owner, I had so many questions and anxieties but he was always realistic; never gave me false hope but remained encouraging an patient. I don't recall everyone's names, but from the receptionist to the vet techs they always remembered Dami's name and her needs. If I called someone always called me back, I felt very supported. When I requested to meet with a specialist regarding her diet, Dr. Matetansky provided me with referrals and the office forwarded her very thick chart. Dami outlived all expectations under his care. She was never ever uncomfortable and never underwent any procedures that limited her life's enjoyment. I am very grateful to the staff, Dr. Frost, and Dr. Maketansky.
