Help when our efforts had failed

We rescued our third Elkhound a little over a year ago. He came from a very bad situation. Our other males fitted into our family with very little problems. Sarge was very difficult, he learned quickly but decided to forget just as quickly. Neil took him for a month. We also had our training at home while our dog was away at school. In that month's time we all learned with Neil's patience and caring we now have a more stable, well mannered and obediate companion. Without Neil's help we may have had to find another home for Sarge, which would have been as tramatic for us as it would have been for him.
