Famous place

I took a tour recently and was very impressed. One training apprentice explained that trainers are selected on their ability to connect with PEOPLE; this is in sharp contrast to a couple of animal-focused organizations I know that are full of people who say that they hate people but love animals. As a result, their organizations are miserable to visit or do business with.
I think the Seeing Eye has it right!
Pros: People oriented
Cons: none

A worthy cause
posted 4 years ago
I lived in Morristown for 10 years and the Seeing Eye is a real presence in the town training their dogs and helping the blind to learn how to handle their guide dogs. I know volunteers who foster their puppies for the first year of their lives. It has to be tough to give up a dog after that amount of time.
I have the utmost respect for this organization.
Pros: Years of good works
Cons: none
