With what pet stores charge for animals with health problems, etc... I think most shelter/rescue fees are extremely reasonable! read more
I was looking at the dogs up for adoption and I saw that there were more black labs up for adoption than any other breed of dog. Personally, I have a black lab and shes a really great dog. I've had black labs all my life. They are an awsome breed. I just want to know why?! Read more

I received a message from a friend regarding the Adoption of a Cocker Spaniel named Hailey. Evidently, the Rescue did not realize that Hailey was 4 to 6 weeks pregnant when she was adopted. The new owners took her to their vet, who also treats their other dog, (which was rescued from the same place) thinking she was sick. The vet did an ultrasound, which showed she was very pregnant. I adopted Noodles from the Carbon County Animal Shelter on May 12, 2008. She was given up because her owner became ill and could no longer take care of her. Noodles is a 4 year old chocolate Lab. She was already spayed and was current on all of her shots. Noodles would not stay in the kennels at the shelter, but she never ran off.
