every time your dog barks, skip the cookie and give her a time out. remove her from the room, so shes all alone in a boring bathroom or something similar, for two minutes. do this every single time. read more

When is she most nippy? If it's while you are holding her and she gets like that, put her down right away. She will learn that if she wants you to hold her she can't nip. Her aggression is caused by s… read more

Chihuahuas often have food sensitivities. They do best on a consistent diet of foods such as poultry and brown rice. Beef is not recommended for the Applehead Chihuahua. Chihuahuas need to be bathed once a month. Short-haired varieties only need occasional brushing, while long-haired Chihuahuas should be brushed daily. Nails should be trimmed as needed. Although many breeds do quite well [and are healthy] on one meal a day, high-activity dogs, such as Chihuahuas, benefit from a twice-a-day feeding schedule because it provides a more constant supply of energy. If your Chihuahua is prone to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), your veterinarian may recommend more frequent meals. read more

Chihuahuas are about to become a booming industry real soon with the new Disney movie coming out in October geared around the little dog. There will be an influx of backyard breeders popping up in ads near you pulling at your heart strings to "buy" a Chihuahua for your kids/family etc. DON'T "BUY" ON IMPULSE!
