whats up with this bird

my 17 year old love bird loves to bang the doors of his cage up and down. we clothes pin them,twist tie them ,but to no avail. he knows how to get the clothes pins off and chews up the twist ties. i hesitate to spend the money for a new cage considering his age. any ideas? Read more
