Great store but don't get cheated
Pros: good pet food and products
Cons: the staff are not too bright and could not care less

First let me say that I drive 60 miles every month to buy my pets' food here. They sell quality food and treats. I'm very happy with their product line (aside from the fact that they are no longer carrying a few treats that my dog liked).
Now for the problems--on my last visit there (on March 8) they almost cheated me out of $14 dollars, and it took nearly a half an hour to get my money back. As I pick items off the shelves, I keep a mental tally of how much things cost. After I'd been rung up and paid my bill, I felt I'd been over charged. So I carefuly studied my receipt. I was right. The employee who rang me up scanned one item one too many times. I brought this to her attention and she refunded my money, but she was not very apologetic and she certainly took her time about it.
I also noticed when studying my bill that several items cost more than I remembered thinking they should so I went back to the shelves to check. Sure enough, I was charged as much as $2 more per item than the price listed on the shelf. I again called this to their attention, and yet another sales girl acted like she didn't care. It took four employees and almost 30 minutes to right this mistake. It turns out someone had raised the prices in the computer but not on the shelves. Who knows how many customers were over charged before I caught this mistake?
I will say to their credit that the higher-raking employees seemed concerned, but the low-ranking employees were very blase about it all which I found most desturbing. They really need to hire better people.
I hate to make such a fuss over just $14, but times are hard and every penny counts. I'll continue to shop here, but I'll also continue to watch the staff carefully when they ring me up.
