I was very disappointd in this store. The animals we looked at (gerbils, hamsters) were in dirty cages and the store was just as dirty. The staff was ignorant about the care questions we asked. the staff was also unhelpful and acted as though we were imposing by asking question. not recommended.

I must disagree. I am an engineer and per researching for a small animal as my daughters first pet I am going to drive from Pgh to Grove City Agway (GCA) due to the selection of animals, cleanliness of their cages, and competency of their employees.
I have looked in the tri-state area for a reputable rat breeder and GCA is the most knowledgeable pet store via my initial visit during the Mercer County Farm Tour in the fall of 2007.
I would highly recommend that you give them a second try.
