Sumner Animal Grub

Sumner Animal Grub has been in the same location for years, and IIRC is family run. They are horse-centric, but do carry food and supplies for most everything (cats, dogs, livestock and small animals.)

Their products are okay, and can get some of the odd things for people who own "odd" pets, but seem to prefer to stick to their tack and feed end of things. Their customer service is pretty good, typical for most of the smaller feed stores I have been to and after awhile you get to know the people there pretty well.

Their prices are a little higher than many other places in the area, but not outrageous like some of the boutiqe stores that pop up all the time (and soon close.) I get the impression that if you are looking for something involving horses they are kind of the go to people in the area, but I imagine that their business has been impacted by the buildup of the area.

I used to shop there more frequently, but have moved away and no longer shop there very often. Overall, a friendly place and a small business that I should support more. If I had more reason to shop there I would make the additional effort to go.
