I think its a great idea to adopt from local shelters rather than buy from puppy mills. I am impressed with this fact that Petco does this. But I can say they dont take time to train their employees. I am refering to the store in Rockford, IL.

Pros: They have adoptions available from local shelters

Cons: Not very knowledgeable about products
