Pet stores vs. shelters/rescues

When I walk in downtown Great Falls, I usually pass Jack's, and I'm initially drawn to the cute puppies in the windows. Then, almost reflexively, I turn away, knowing that pet stores go against my philosophy of "too many pets, not enough homes," and that spaying/neutering/adoption are the only hopes for the pet overpopulation. I hope stores that sell animals will soon be a relic of a less enlightened time.

Cons: Goes against general principle of pet adoption
