This pet store has an island theme--Jimmy Buffett-esque. The store is a bit dark with their lighting, but does have some huge aquariums with a wonderful assortment of tropical and freshwater fish. There are 3 large parrots/macaws that provide chatter and entertainment. I don't have an aquarium or caged birds, but this store would be a good place to start when looking for specific fish and bird items.

This store has taken in barn cats/average domestic cats to be sold, and also has had Siamese breeds.

They carry a good variety of large and small dog breeds, but usually have the smaller dog breeds available. Their Pomeranians go fast! The one thing that I admire the owners for doing is encouraging community members to volunteer to help socialize and play with the puppies so that they get a break from their kennels and will make a better pet companion. They also have an arrangement with a nearby facility for developmentally disabled persons who come in with their assisted staff to play and interact with the puppies.

Naturally, I would prefer a person to first go to a shelter or rescue for a pet dog or cat before buying from a pet store. I do like to go in and see what puppies are available, and many people come in just to browse and look at the birds, fish and puppies.

The animals are well taken care of, and many of the staff develop close bonds with some of the animals for sale. The majority of the staff are very knowledgable and helpful.

Pros: Has some fantastic tropical and fresh water aquariums inside

Cons: Sells dogs from breeders
