Doctors Foster and Smith Pet Supply catalog and online store

Doctors Foster and Smith Pet Supply was one of the first online stores I used to buy things like Frontline online. Their prices for flea and tick preventative is definitely cheaper than buying directly from the vet, but because they're not touting ultra-cheap costs, I feel more comfortable that I'm getting quality product.

The catalogs and website have a wide selection of items for almost any type of pet you can imagine, and they provide vaccine supplies for people who prefer to administer them at home (a must for many rescues). The only food I've seen on the website is their house brand, but the selection of treats is quite extensive.

My biggest issue with ordering through Doctors Foster and Smith is that orders can take up to a week to ship out, even when it's small. I also don't always get a shipping notification. The one exchange I had to make was a bit of a mess because the return authorization doesn't have any tracking info, and the company doesn't let you know when your return has arrived and the replacement has shipped out. I actually forgot about the whole thing until I got a parcel in the mail with my replacements.

Overall, I use Doctors Foster and Smith because of the good selection and competitive prices, but if I can find the same product elsewhere that has better customer service, I'll go with the other company.
