Preuss Pets

I have been into this store several times & bought things for my pets. I don't like that they sell animals. They are very friendly & helpful w/ lots of merchandise. I also think they allow pets in the store although I never have. My Mom was a preschool teacher before she retired & almost every year they would take a trip to Preuss Animals or Preuss Pets. The young children loved going there. The people were always so generous & friendly to help my Mom out teaching the children information & answering the kids questions. One day my Mom was in the store picking up some things for her dog, when she went to pay she just about died when she put her hand in her purse. A friendly inquisitive Chinchilla had climbed in her purse & snuggled up to sleep. They sometimes let the pets out that are friendly. This one found my Mom's big old purse the perfect nap area. I am glad she didn't get all the way home w/ the poor thing before she realized he was there. They would have thought she stole him. They thought it was totally funny. They knew she didn't steal him. She was worried they would think that.

Pros: Friendly & knowledgeable w/ tons of merchandise.

Cons: Sells pets.

We used to go to this pet store a lot back when I lived in Okemos. It was a lot of fun to go there just to look at all the different types of pets they had there. The bigger birds, reptiles, small mammals, etc. Lots of different brands to choose from and well-informed staff.

Pros: Fish, small animals and birds

Cons: sells kittens????
