Until recently, Tri-State Vet & Pet didn't carry our brand of food. Now that they do, I'll probably visit more often.

The building looks like a barn inside & out. Roughly the left side of the store is devoted to small pets, while the rest caters to the horse crowd. They carry jeans, "horsey" t-shirts & hoodies, and more formal attire for the show ring. As we don't own horses or participate in their sports, we pretty much skip that side.

The pet side is cool. Every gadget, toy, remedy, food, and treat is represented. The aisles are wide & clean, so it's easy to get to the stuff you want to look at. The prices are competitive with other pet stores in the area. On our last visit, we bought food, ear remedy (for our Golden), and a nice pair of grooming scissors.

A drawback is location. The place is way out, and easy to pass right by on your first visit. The lot is tricky to get in & out of, and traffic can be a problem.
We won't be replacing our regular store--almost as far out, but easier to get to.

Half the store is of no interest to us. That's too bad, because we're always looking for a new place to spend money! Maybe they need to stock more "neutral" clothing and footwear.

Lastly, the staff is never less than friendly and knowledgeable. And they were happy to post my shelter's spay/neuter clinic flyer.

Cons: In the boonies, more than 1/2 the store is devoted to horses
