Great place to find pet stuff

posted 6 years ago

I go to wal-mart to get a lot of my pet stuff. They have a good selection and cheap prices. I love how they have started to carry ASPCA stuff also. There are times when I can't find what I need, but most of the time I can.

Pros: nice place

Cons: none

Super stores should stick to products not animals/fish.

posted 7 years ago

I hate to see the beta fish in tiny cup like containers at Wal-Mart stores. The fish tanks always have dead or sick fish in them. I don't see gerbils, guinea pigs etc like I used to. It's mainly fish. We bought some fancy goldfish & snails for our pond at Wal-Mart several years ago. We talked w/ the sales person in depth about the snails & fish. Everyone of the fish & snails died with in a 1 month time frame. Some didn't last a week. I mean how do you kill snails? You can't screw that up. We always go to a special pond place now that orders fish for us. They come healthy & we pick out what we want. They gurantee their fish also because they know they aren't sick. Wal-Mart doesn't have sales people that work in the pet section soley. We had to have someone paged to get help in the pet section. I am not sure the guy even worked with the fish ever. If people didn't buy fish or pets from these super stores they would not carry them. I don't think they take care of them well while in the store.

Pros: Cheap prices

Cons: Fish aren't healthy. Alot of dead ones in tanks 1 filter for all tanks
