PETSMART Store #0547

I went in this store one time when I was visiting Columbus. It is a nice sized store that seems to have everything. Pets are allowed inside of course, but watch out in the parking lot. I stepped in a little pile on the way in!!!

This is a nice PetSmart location, very friendly to the shelter I support (Madison County / London, OH). Due to the high volume of foot and paw traffic, the entry rug sometimes looks pretty 'funky.' The store aisles seem clean with well-presented items and is well-stocked with merchandise. However, in the section where the bigger bags of dry dog food, the lowest shelf seems to be a favorite place where dogs 'hoist a leg.' This makes for a foul-smelling and compromised product, one I would neither purchase nor knowingly let someone else purchase without fair warning.

Since this is the only PetSmart store with which I am familiar, I cannot rate all stores by this yardstick, but these are two readily-correctable problems.

There is a grooming salon and I know several people that have their pets bathed, groomed/clipped and get 'peticures' done. Everyone loves the PetSmart employees and the kind way they handle each special charge!

Cashiers are also friendly and fairly knowledgeable, but seasonal help is often not terribly knowledgeable about things. For example, they will know which aisle contains dry dog food, but not if PetSmart carries a particular brand.

All in all, this is a nice store, one dogs enjoy!
