Petco

Nice store, nice employees, allows pets on leash. Supports animal rescues and causes outwardly and helps customers meet different rescue groups and their animals allowing exposure to these groups of animals that customers otherwise would not have.
Stock is good, is your normal large chain pet store stock of food. Could use more choice in organic lines of food.

This particular location has a lot of work to do if they are going to be the local "leader" in pet supplies.

The staff doesn't really have a good knowledge of what animals they work with... or even about their departments! It's really very sad.

A year or two ago, a wonderful pet shop, NJ Pets, was located in the same storefront. Petco bought them out, changed the layout (horrible), dropped MANY of the product brands that were previously there, raised prices, and fired any worker that was a true pet-lover and was knowledgable about their position. Now - staff is rude (if you can find them) and there are only one or two particular employees which are willing to help a customer with questions out. The managers aren't even service oriented.

Very dissapointed, because with such a reputation for quality and service preceeding them... they really should hire better (or keep the other employees that were there!)

Pros: Large variety of pet needs

Cons: Staff and service is really not very good....
