To the great folks at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter, I'm sure sorry you didn't make the top twenty

Pros: try hard, knowledgeable, caring, friendly, dedicated, devoted
Cons: working without a net like our shelter (Madison County, Ohio)
When I checked to see how the shelter makeover contest top twenty had finished, it was with tears of relief that our little shelter in Madison County, Ohio, had finished in 13th place.
There were also tears of sadness that your shelter got bumped from the top twenty. You are so needing and deserving help; I pray that this contest will bring you a lot more local attention and donors and that Ellensburg will get plenty of help to go with all the prayers being winged straight to Heaven on your behalf!
God bless each of you!

Thank-you so much! We too were upset by the outcome, but I believe all things happen for a reason and our time is coming. Honestly, our shelter ended up not qualifing because we are municipal not 501 c 3 so we stopped competing - long story but we fought the good fight knowing we did not qualify and zootoo is wonderful.
Best of luck to you and your shelter

Hi, Paula,
Thanks for your comment. Our shelter director, Betty P., spent time looking at the top 40 shelters in the competition a few days ago and said she felt like your shelter, too, really needed the makeover, maybe as much as us, so this makes me feel a little better (the municipal thing disqualifying your shelter), although I do pray you'll get many more donations to help make things better for the precious animals and you/your great staff! God bless you!
