Safety and Security for Pets and Volunteers

Reviewed Service

City of Ellensburg Animal Shelter
Reviews: 199
Avg Rating: 4.5
Pros: Very rarely is euthanization resorted to. Staff trains well and requires volunteer regularity and persistance in finding homes for pets. The surrounding open area for running pets is nice.
Cons: Though utilized wisely, buildings are old and portions must serve overlapping purposes.

Review Details

The fact that pets often can soon move on to new homes from the shelter evidences top management knowhow and super utilization of their available covered space. The numerous regular volunteers, pleased with what they are accomplishing. Enabling pets to be better leash-trained and so make a good impression on prospective owners is one factor. Bringing challenged pets back to top health is a priority. And, the volunteer training for locating specially fitted right homes through good Internet contacts is another factor. Staff assuredly makes optimum use of any funding coming their way.
