Pros: Shelter is in excellent condition
Cons: Not enough room fro dogs to exercise
I lived in Colorado Springs for a little over a year and adopted the very popular Baxter from there. I think out of all the shelters I have ever visited, this one was by far the best looking. They have a beautiful lobby and initial entry area and very clever ways of showcasing the animals. It reminds me going to a fancy resturant and not seeing the kitchen. Since I have only been a visiter, I can only judge this book by it's cover. From what i have seen all of the animals looked very well taken care of. I do have a concern about the amount of outdoor space. The lot that it is situated on is not large and only has so much space for dogs to run and play. I also know that this shelter is very well funded and for what it looks like from the outside looking in, I think they are doing a great job.
