Awful Shelter
4 months ago -- Monday, February 18, 2008
Pros: Lots of puppies
Cons: Cost, and killing of unadoptable pets
Even though this is a very "nice" shelter, it is pretty disheartening how they decide which pets are "adoptable" and which aren't. I also think the way they "price" their animals is pretty awful. A few months ago after many tears shed I decided to give up one of my cats, due to a urinating problem. I had tried everything to stop her from doing it, nothing worked. I had checked the box on the reliquish form that I wanted to be notified if they were going to put her to sleep. I thought I might get that call in a few months or so. However I got the call that same night, saying that they should have never taken in an animal that was her age and with her problem. I had untill 7PM the next day or she was gonna get the shot. Ofcourse I couldn't live with myself I picked her up. I have kenneled her and It's working. I let her out when I'm home. I think knowing that she has her own box, food, etc, that the other cats can't get to make her feel better. Anyways they took my $50 bucks and put our whole family through heck. I will never adopt from them. They pretty much are a pet store that call themselves a shelter.
