Review Details

About a month after my first dog died I went searching for another one visiting the various shelters in Colorado. I came across this one in disbelief! I figured that because it was the "Colorado" Humane Society, it would be this nice facility! Boy was I wrong! Dirty, cramped, rundown are just a few words that come to mind. The location is horrible and the building looks like some random sheds put together. The poor dogs have to face eachother and bark at eachother all the time, plus the "sick" section is only separated from the regular part by a rope! Germs come and go as they please! To make matters worse the staff was the most clueless staff I have ever seen! Some of the simplest questions were answered with blank stares and "I dunnos". I was very disappointed with this place.

Well you would think if you were bright, the point of this "Zootoo" deal is to get a shelter a make over, now since you refer to it as small and cramped wouldn't you think its best to help this shelter? I'm sure your not to bright your self, you most likely asked the wrong person for help, possibly a volunteer. so pull your head out of your Ass.
Almost everyone there is a volunteer and being a county/city shelter means they got the building that was assigned to them and work with that. Many shelters would love a new bright shiny building.
Yea the CHS is cramped, that is the point of a make over. The staff is anything but cluleless. There are several volunteers coming in and out, chances are you asked one of them. The reason they are loacted by the Platt, there are several strays running lose there, by far a great loaction for rescuing animals. I don't things like this should be said about the CHS.
