WOW, where do I begin. The Colorado Dog Academy is the best. I wouldn't think to take my "kids" anywhere else.
I first encountered the Colorado Dog Academy in January 2005 when I was looking for a place to board my "kids" when I was traveling for work. At the time I had just J.B., Buttons, Roo and Roxi. They were on a "special" diet and were all on medication but that wasn't a problem for them. I had called numerous other boarders and kennels before I found Colorado Dog Academy but they wouldn't board my "kids" because Roo and Roxi are Red-Nose A.P.B.T.'s. but that wasn't an issue for Colorado Dog Academy as the owners use to raise A.P.B.T.'s themselves. As time went on I acquired Smokey and Capone and still it was NEVER a problem for them to alsways find room for my "kids". Roo has separation anxiety when away from me, so they would always kennel her with her sister Roxi to help keep her calmer. Buttons was the smallest so instead of kenneling him in the big runs downstairs, they would kennel him upstairs in the cat room where he could be more comfortable. I used their services two or three times a month for over a year.
In January 2006, Commerce City started harassing me about not having my kennel up per our BSL ordinance that had just been passed. Initially we had been told that we had until the end of 2006 to have it completed but then they said if it wasn't up by the end of January they were going to take my "kids". At that point I contacted Colorado Dog Academy and asked if they were willing to board my "kids" long-term until I could complete the kennel. They said absolutely, not a problem. They would allow me to come by as often as I wanted and spend time with the "kids" in the playyard. On a couple of occasions when I was out of town and Roo would run-low on her anti-seizure medication they would have their vet fill it and pick it up so that she was never without. The "kids" were there until April 2006 when the kennel was finally finished and approved by the city and then I brought them home. I left my job that required me to travel so much and decided to stay closer to home, so unfortunately I have not had to use their services since.
Without a doubt though, if I ever had to kennel my "kids" again, I would always take them back to Colorado Dog Academy. They are the best!
