I have a friend that lives in TX and picked up a stray running along the highway. Due to living circumstances she could not keep the dog but cleaned her up and fed her and kept her for the night.

She didn't know what to do and took her to this Humane Society. They turned her away and offered absolutely no help at all.

How can you turn a stray animal away that a good samaritan picked up instead of leaving to get hit by a car and offer no help to???

Sad, very sad.

My friend was going to see about volunteering for them, not now.
